Membership Categories

Active Members
Physicians with over five years of practice, under age 75, and actively engaged in obstetrics and gynecology. Attendance at the annual meeting is expected. Membership dues are set by the Board.

Senior Members
Former Active Members who are either age 75+ or retired before 75 with approved request. Senior Members may vote and hold office but do not pay dues. Members reaching age 100 are designated Centennial Members.

Honorary Members
Physicians or scientists recognized for significant contributions to women’s health or the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Honorary Members do not pay dues and may not vote or hold office.

Member Benefits

Be part of AGC’s rich history and help to further our mission to support the advancement of obstetrics, gynecology, and abdominal surgery. AGC goals and member benefits have remained unchanged during the 114 years the Club has been in existence.

Exploration - AGC provides its members the opportunity to observe at institutions other than their own - the educational, clinical, and experimental work of fellow members and others engaged in the practice of obstetrics and gynecology.

Demonstration - Members are given an opportunity to demonstrate in their own institutions the results of their best and brightest faculty science, plans of instruction, and novel operative methods and cutting-edge procedures.

Face-to-Face - Despite an ever-increasing number of professional meetings and virtual options, AGC continues to provide an opportunity for academic leaders in the field of gynecology and obstetrics to come together in-person, in a relaxed, social atmosphere to consider advances and problems and shape the direction of women’s healthcare.

Free Interchange - The Club strives to stimulate among its members informal discussion and a free interchange of ideas.

Friendships - AGC meetings and interactions serve to foster and sustain friendships.
